I had been meaning to write to you about your performance at Jehova Java but B has to use this, the only remaining working Internet machine, for her work.
At any rate, I think your basic material is sound. The style you used was more interesting in some of the songs, but now the titles escape me. I would certainly be glad to work with you on anything you would like my assistance on. If you could bring a guitar and a music paper notebook I could show you some very useful things. But basically you have the talent to make something in Christian music, it is just going to take time and work to develop it.
Now you have a solid baritone/tenor quality voice. I noticed when you were singing there were a lot of fourths hanging out unresolved. I should introduce you to the concept of 'horn' fifths which is how older composers got around this. It has a folkish/irish sound to it and would help with your harmonic spacings anyway.
But enough on my part. I thought you sounded great and I want to come see you again sometime when I can. I hope this helps a little and feel free to ask me for any help you might need.

Thanks so much for coming out and playing for the venue. I am really hoping this thing takes off and becomes a major place for folks to come and hear the local bands like you guys. I have to say, I had never heard you like you sounded last night, and the sound was really great, due in large measure to having no limitations on volume or number of band members or whatever. The setup they have works really well, although I will be bringing in my sound board and snake to add some other features like compression on the main vocal track, etc. Anyway, thanks again, and be sure to thank the other guys for coming out. We definitely will be having you guys come back in the spring. You are one of the best local bands out there right now, near the top of my list. You're songs were very melodic, and really stirred my heart. I thoroughly enjoyed the concert. Looking forward to having you all back. Please let me know of any other acts, and if you ran into any at the concert you did today (Sunday), please forward my email address to them.
Thanks again, and we'll talk to you soon.
